Robert C. Graf “Uncle Bob”, 79, passed away May 9th, 2017 at Kylar Glen “A shelter in the woods” in Grand Rapids. Uncle Bob born in Grand Rapids to Joe & Flora (Winckler) Graf, lived his entire life in Grand Rapids. Bob never married, so his name became “Uncle Bob” used by almost everyone including his siblings, nephews and nieces, great and gr-great nephews and nieces, His FAMILY. Uncle Bob spent most of his employment as a painter on commercial and mining structures in Minnesota. Uncle Bob retired in 1997 and has kept active by walking miles a day until this past ear. He also bought a new care almost every year and always said, “this is my last car”. Car sales people will miss him as they rushed to get him first as he walked in the front door.
Uncle Bob spent memorable times with his family fishing, hunting, holidays, birthdays and celebrations of all kinds. Uncle Bob was well known for making “his rounds” in Grand Rapids. These almost daily excursions were at Goodwill, Salvation Army, Wal-Mart, and others kept his legs and mind active. Uncle Bob also kept the folks at Subways employed as he ate there at least once a day.
Uncle Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, Allen, Norman and a sister, Esther Collinge.
He is survived by his sister, Trudy (Dave Raeker); and many nieces, nephews; great and -gr-great nieces and nephews, His FAMILY and will be missed by all.
