Condolence: My deepest sympathy to all of Fayetta's family. I just learned of her death this afternoon. It was such a shock and I'm greatly saddened at her loss. It had been awhile since we'd talked, but I have very fond memories of her amazing people skills and the light that shined brightly in her eyes. She was such a caring and effective pastor and a good friend and colleague. While I served the Pengilly UMC we had the chance to visit quite often and I cherish those memories.
My thoughts and prayers are with you who are her family and I pray that you feel God's love surrounding you in this difficult time. May your memories bring you to a place of peace.
Condolence: I echo Linda Koelman's words. Fayetta and I were seminary friends and colleagues--also from youth ministry days prior. She had a vibrancy for life and artistic spirit that blessed the church greatly. She had a strong sense of social justice and I have missed her voice as we too lost touch over the years. Blessings and prayers to her family and friends as Fayetta is remembered in love.
Condolence: My heart ached for you Devlin. We loved your Mom dearly as we do you. We will always cherish the great church memories n Christmas programs with both of you! Your Mom was such a loving n caring Pastor n friend. Heaven has sure gained a beautiful Angel. May you always your Mom's love, God's love and our love surrounding you till we're all reunited in heaven! We love you and our prayers will continue to be with you.
Condolence: On behalf of Verndale United Methodist Church, our sincere sympathies. Her loving way of calming our spirits will not soon be forgotten.
Personally, she helped me with decisions that were much needed in that time of my life.
Lee Tarrell, Chairman Verndale UMC.
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Fayetta was a precious friend. She and Vicki and I were the anchors of the tenor section and we had a ball. She taught me how to play my guitar which brought me untold hours of joy and comfort and most of my memories of high school involve her. I will miss her.
Condolence: I got to know Fayetta when we were appointed as the first pastors of a 7 church larger parish in 1997. She brought some great group process skills to our organizational work and I appreciated the depth of her heart, her creative open spirit and concern for the earth. I enjoyed our teamwork. I am saying goodbye to a colleague in ministry and friend to my family. I am not able to attend the service, but am with you in spirit and good memories. My hugs and prayers for Devlin. Peace
Condolence: So sad to hear of Fayetta's passing. We were classmates and friends in high school. Although I lost touch with her over the years, I always remember her as a bright light and cheery soul. She dedicated her life to helping others, and will be fondly remembered by me and all her classmates. My deepest condolences to her family at this sad time. God Bless.
Condolence: I am so very sorry about the loss of Fayetta. We graduated together from Nashwauk-Keewatin High School in 1969, and our class has been planning our upcoming 50th reunion. At this event next summer, Fayetta will be remembered and will definitely be missed by her fellow classmates. Along with our class, I am sending our sincerest sympathies to Fayetta’s family and friends at this very sad time.
